 Conversations in Contemporary Art Practice

These are a series of talks which I have curated and framed ‘Radical ReThink - Conversations in Contemporary Art Practice’ in collaboration with Regional Cultural Centre Letterkenny Co.Donegal.

In curating and chairing the artist presentations and conversations, my aim has been to create dialog and to provoke critical thinking around art and culture and the contested ‘value’ of culture in the region. By bringing national and international artists into discussion along side local artists, we have opened up new conversations around the diversity of practices and explored less traditional aspects of contemporary art.

The title of the programme aims to give the artists presenting, a guide in which to frame their work and talk about their art practice and how that connects with the world they live in. Their presentations provide insights into their unique approach to their practice and the ways in which it has changed and developed .It is hoped that by artists meeting and discussing their work, future artistic relationships and collaborative practices may be forged and made possible.

Coming 12 June 2021- Suzanne Lacy and the Border Across and In-Between Project in conversation with 5 Irish Artists Radical Rethink Webinar
